The film stars Amitabh Bachchan, Deepika Padukone and Irrfan Khan, with Moushumi Chatterjee, Jisshu Sengupta and Raghubir Yadav in supporting roles. The soundtrack was Anupam Roy. Principal photography began in August 2014 and was wrapped up in December.
