Based on Frank Herbert's 1969 novel Dune Messiah, it is the sequel to Dune: Part Two (2024) and the third and final installment in Villeneuve's Dune film trilogy. Timothée Chalamet, Zendaya, Florence Pugh, Anya Taylor-Joy, Josh Brolin, and Rebecca Ferguson reprise their roles from the second film, Jason Momoa reprises his role from the first film with Nakoa-Wolf Momoa, Ida Brooke and Robert Pattinson joining the cast.
